Tempe Town Lake
Two mile long reservoir created by a dam built on Arizona's Salt River. Tempe Lake was created in the summer of 1999 and it opened to the public in November of that year. On July 20, 2010 the lake was drained dry when part of the dam that contained the water broke. The damage was repaired over the next few months and the lake reopened in October of 2010.


This Tempe city park adjacent to Tempe Town Lake is nearly 300 acres in size. It is located at Curry Road fand College Avenue in Tempe.
