Arizona Border States and Countries

Arizona is bordered by the country of Mexico in the south and on the north, west, and east it is bordered by five other USA states. The Four Corners Monument, in the northeast corner of Arizona, was built by the Navajo Nation to mark the only place in the United States where four states intersect at one point: Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado.

Countries Bordering Arizona

Mexico
On the south, Arizona is entirely bordered by the country of Mexico. The most famous border town in Arizona is Nogales, which has two sections: Nogales Mexico and Nogales Arizona. Other Arizona towns on the Mexican border are Douglas, Naco, Sasabe, Lukeville, and San Luis.

USA States Bordering Arizona

California
The state bordering Arizona on the southwest side is California, and three Arizona cities near the California border are Lake Havasu City, Parker, and Yuma. Southern California cities within a day's drive of Arizona include Los Angeles, San Diego, and Palm Springs.

Colorado
The state bordering Arizona on the northeast side is Colorado, and three Colorado national park facilities are located not far from the Arizona border: Mesa Verde National Park and Hovenweep and Yucca House National Monuments.

Nevada
The state bordering Arizona on the northwest side is Nevada. Bullhead City, Arizona is close to the Nevada border, Laughlin Nevada is just across the river from Bullhead City, and Las Vegas is about 80 miles from Bullhead City.

New Mexico
The state bordering Arizona on the east side is New Mexico. The New Mexico National Parks closest to Arizona are the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, El Morro National Monument, El Malpais National Monument, Chaco Culture National Historic Park, and Aztec Ruins National Monument.

Utah
The state bordering Arizona on the north side is Utah and five national parks are located in the lower third of Utah, including Bryce Canyon, Zion, Canyonlands, Arches, and Capitol Reef National Parks.
