Alamo Lake State Park

Arizona's Alamo Lake was created 1968, when the Alamo Dam was constructed on the Bill Williams River at the point where the Big Standy River and the Santa Maria River come together. The Dam was created by the Army Corps of Engineers as a flood control measure.

Recreational Facilities at Alamo Lake State Park
Recreational facilities at Alamo State Park include two boat ramps, swimming areas, a picnic area, an amphitheater, and a combination visitors center and shop.

Overnight Facilities at Alamo Lake State Park
Overnight facilities include a campground and an RV park area with hookups for electricity, water, and sewage. The lake is primarily used for fishing and boating.

History of Alamo Lake State Park
Alamo Lake State Park was created in October of 1969 when 4892 acres of Arizona land was transferred from the United States Corps of Engineers to the Arizona State Parks Board.
