The Cactus Wren

The state bird of Arizona is the Cactus Wren, a bird with a speckled chest and a white line over each eye. the Cactus Wren grows to about seven or eight inches long and it likes to build its nests on thorny desert plants such as the Saguaro Cactus. The Cactus Wren was designated the state bird of Arizona in 1973.
